This website can help parents talk with their children about difficult topics.  The website offers practical, concrete tips and techniques for talking easily and openly with young children ages 8 to 12 about some very tough issues: sex, HIV/AIDS, violence, drugs and alcohol.
Alcohol Abuse Prevention
StopAlcoholAbuse.Gov is a comprehensive portal of Federal resources for information on underage drinking and ideas for combating this issue. People interested in underage drinking prevention—including parents, educators, community-based organizations, and youth—will find a wealth of valuable information here.  The resources in the "Parents" section will help parents discuss this important issue with their children and brainstorm ways for them to refuse offers of alcohol from their peers.
Partnership for a Drug-Free America
The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a nonprofit organization that unites parents, renowned scientists and communications professionals to help families raise healthy children.  The Partnership motivates and equips parents to prevent their children from using drugs and alcohol, and to find help and treatment for family and friends in trouble.  On this website, parents can connect with each other, tap into expert advice for children of all ages, and find the support they want and need in their role as hero to their kids.

The AntiDrug.com was created by the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign to equip parents and other adult caregivers with the tools they need to raise drug-free kids. This website is not only a drug prevention information center, but also a supportive community for parents to interact and learn from each other.
NIDA for Teens
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a component of the National Institutes of Heath (NIH), created this Web site to educate adolescents ages 11 through 15 (as well as their parents and teachers) on the science behind drug abuse.
Natural High
This site is a rest stop for like minded individuals who believe in being 100% Naturally High and rejecting drugs and alcohol. The Natural High DVD Series is produced and distributed through the Sundt Memorial Foundation.  The Foundation's mission is to influence the hearts and minds of kids by inspiring them to choose a natural high and reject drugs. The goal is to change culture so that it is cool for kids to say "YES" to life and "NO" to drugs.
The Commonwealth Prevention Alliance Campaign to Stop Opiate Abuse
The U.S. is in the midst of an epidemic of opiate addiction and overdose.  Pennsylvania has a higher overdose rate than most states.   This website is designed to educate parents, teachers, family members and other caregivers about the risks of prescription painkiller and heroin use, the relationship between prescription painkiller and heroin use, and what to do when you need help.
