 MEET MRS. HANNIS

 Hello!  My name is Emilie Hannis. This is my tenth year teaching at Tamaqua Elementary.  During the past nine years at Tamaqua Elementary, I have taught both first and third grade. This year I will be teaching first grade!  

 

I graduated from Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville.  I attended DeSales University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I also received my Master's Degree in Special Education through DeSales University. I am also the Women’s Head Volleyball Coach for Panther Valley Area High School. 

 

I am married to my wonderful husband and have two amazing stepchildren, Eric and Violet. We spend a lot of our time at sports and being outside! 

 

Some of my favorite things include my family and friends, playing volleyball, navy blue, anchors, llamas, and Disney. 

 

I am so excited about starting the year with my first graders! This year, your first grader will be learning a lot and having fun!
