Welcome to Title 1 Reading
The Title 1 Reading Program is the same as the regular classroom curriculum, except your child will be working with a classroom teacher as well as a Title 1 Reading Specialist. Title 1 Reading is scheduled at the same time as the classroom reading, so your child will not miss any regularly scheduled content area subjects. Your child will be taken once a week for tutoring. This is always done in a small group at a time when the children will not miss any other classes. At this tutoring time, we work on building vocabulary, focus skills such as Main Idea, Compare/Contrast etc. . We also read over the story that the children are working on for comprehension and fluency.
