    What is M.A.G.I.C.?
    M.A.G.I.C. is an after school program funded by the Department of Education whose goals are to improve grades and conduct, increase parental involvement, reduce negative behaviors, and provide a safe haven for students after school. M.A.G.I.C. is being offered to tutor/assist students with homework and offer a variety of educational, yet fun, activities such as Study Island, field trips, and art and service projects. Students receive a healthy snack and have time to socialize with their peers in an educational environment.
     
    Who can join M.A.G.I.C.?
    Any student in grades six through eight who resides in the Tamaqua Area School District can participate in M.A.G.I.C..
     
    When and where is M.A.G.I.C. held?
    M.A.G.I.C. is held at the Tamaqua Area Middle School from 2:30-5:00pm approximately nine days a month and is facilitated by teachers and para educators. For currently scheduled dates, check out the Calendar Program Dates link at the left of this page. Please note: when school is closed due to weather, M.A.G.I.C. is cancelled.
     
    How do I sign up for M.A.G.I.C.?
    Parents must complete the required forms and turn them in to Mr. Kimber, M.A.G.I.C. coordinator, at TAMS. All forms can be downloaded from the link at the left of this page.
