    DERRIK KEICH

    SIGNS TO ATTEND MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY

     

    PRESS CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2006    9:00 A.M. ...

    TAMAQUA, PA - - On Tuesday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m. (morning) in the Tamaqua Area High School library, a press conference will be held for senior track standout Derrik Keich as he signs to attend Monmouth University to continue his academic and track careers.

    Derrik is the 2006 PIAA state champion in the 300 intermediate hurdles and a three-time District XI champion in the event.  He currently holds the school record in the event with a time of 38.71.  The record Derrik broke was set in 1983 by his father, David.

    Derrik is the son of David Keich and Renee Keich.

    On hand for the press conference in addition to Derrik will be his parents, Michael Hromyak, Athletic Director, and Tom Kanger, Tamaqua Head Track and Field coach.
