The 4 Keys to Success!
Creating a positive and safe environment is crucial for the physical and emotionally development of a child. In my class, developing a healthy mindset will be just as important as developing a healthy body. To accomplish this, the four keys to success below will be stressed on a daily basis:
Be Positive! During each class, I will briefly share a thought of the day with the students. This will promote positive thinking, which is crucial in developing a healthy mindset. I encourage you to ask your son/daughter about the thought of the day.
Stay Out of Your Comfort Zone! Students will learn that in order to find success in life they must get out of their comfort zones and take smart risks with their learning and everyday actions. Failure is not something to be ashamed of or fear, but rather something to learn from.
Have a Good Self-Image! Students will realize that they must first learn to respect themselves before they can respect others. We all move in the direction of our dominant thinking. Simply put, if we learn to think positively about ourselves and others, we will tend to become positive individuals. If we think more negatively, we will tend to become more negative.
Always Work Hard and Have Fun! Students will learn that in life, we all need to develop a sense of balance. In my class I always stress that it can't be all work and no fun, but it can't be all fun and no work. There has to be a sense of balance between hard work and fun. As a result, this helps students to realize that balance is a key to achieving success.
