    Please make note of the following information regarding Tamaqua athletics:


    Varsity Football:

    **Friday Night's game at home vs. Palmerton is a Blue Ridge TV game - kickoff is at 7:10


    **It is extremely likely we will make the District XI football playoffs.  The 3A quarterfinals are scheduled for Friday, November 4 should we qualify.


    Cross Country:

    Good luck to our cross country runners.  Tomorrow is the Schuylkill League championships at White Birch Golf Course in Barnesville.

    Girls - 3:00

    Boys - 3:40


    The District XI championships are being held on Wednesday, October 26 at DeSales University.

    Boys - 2:20

    Girls - 3:00


    The PIAA state championships are Saturday, November 5 in Hershey.


    7/8 and JV Football:

    Just a reminder of Monday, October 24th schedule:

    7/8 at Palmerton - 4:30 start

    JV at Northwestern Lehigh - 5:30 start

    1. First Day ofWinter Sports mandatory practices is Friday, November 18.  Reach out to the respective coaches for information regarding practices and any other pre-season info.  The link to the coaches contact info:

    1. Meet the Raiders (Press - Please release this info):


    The Tamaqua Area School District will be holding its annual winter “Meet the Raiders” Night on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Athletic Center.


    All winter sports’ participants, cheerleaders and coaches will be recognized along with the Raider Pep Band.  The event is free of charge and the public is encouraged to attend.


    There is no make up date.


    1. Pay to Participate Fee:

    Is required unless the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch.  The fee is $30 for the first sport and an additional $20 if it is a second sport and has not already been paid.


    1. Drug Testing Registration:

    If the student-athlete has not already registered for our drug testing policy, that needs to be completed.  The MS/HS principals or the athletic director can do the registration.  There is no charge.
