Welcome To First Grade!
Meet Mrs. Makovec
I have my degree in Elementary Education from Lock Haven University. I taught for several years in the Hazleton Area School District, in different grade levels. I then spent a few years away from the classroom to raise my children. Two years ago I started in Tamaqua as a substitute teacher. This will be my second year teaching first grade.
My husband Mike and I have three children, Chance (7th grade), Tavin (6th grade), and Kylah (3rd grade). My family loves sports and spending time outdoors. When I am not at school, you will usually find me on a field or court.
I am looking forward to a great year!
