In-class participation will be monitored and graded as students follow the Classroom Expectations: "Be There; Be Ready," "Be Responsible," "Be Respectful," "Personal Space/Hands & Feet," and "Follow Directions." Students can earn a maximum of 2 points for each Classroom Expectation area, resulting in the possibility of earning 10 participation points every day!

Points are EARNED in this classroom, NOT TAKEN AWAY, so it is up to the student to earn his or her individual points during the class period by showing that they can, for example, come to class on time with necessary materials, be responsible for submitting assignments on time, use respectful language, keep hands and feet to themselves, and follow directions the first time. These are just a few ways that students can earn their participation points!
