All About MeI am a graduate of Mansfield University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice Administration and a B.S.E. in Special Education. I have been teaching for 36 years, 32 of which have been here at Tamaqua Area High School. I am currently the high school's Special Education Department Head. I work at many of the extra curricular events, so you may see me collecting tickets at a football game or announcing at a wrestling match. Wrestling is my favorite sport. I love to travel and take off to locations unknown quite often. There's always a book in my tote bag though because I honestly believe you are a life long learner.
I have two children who are both graduates of Tamaqua Area High School. My daughter graduated from Kutztown University majoring in a dual certification program for Special Education/Elementary Education. She is currently the new Autistic Suppot teacher at the Tamaqua Middle School. She is extra busy with her two children who are 7 years old and 5 years old. My son is a Messiah College graduate with a BA in History and a second BA in Theatre with a concentration in directing. He graduated from Alvernia with a Masters in Education. He teaches at Panther Valley High School where he is also a Special Education teacher & starting this year he will officiate wrestling. He and my daughter in law blessed me with a new grand daughter who just turned 1 year old, twin granddaughters who are 3 years old, a 5 year old grandson, and a 10 year old granddaughter.
I now have to carry on the tradition of spoiling our grandchildren on my own because as many of you know, I am a recent widow. Definately a task I enjoy : )Guess what we have 2 of at home......They are not this innocent!
