*If your child is or will be absent, please send in a note.
*If your child is not going home on his/her regular bus, please send a note or contact the office.
*At times, our classroom can be cool. It may be a good idea to send a sweater (dress-code appropriate) to school in case your child is cold.
*Sneakers must be worn on gym days.
*Please follow the school dress code policy.
*Weather permitting, we will be going outside for recess. Dress accordingly.
*When sending money to school, please put it in an envelope labeled with your child's name and the purpose of the money.
*Every month you will have an opportunity to purchase books for your children from "Scholastic Book Clubs", which offer wonderful current literature and many books just right for 1st Graders . Please send in your order form along with a check made payable to "Scholastic Book Club" if you are interested. Books may also be ordered online. Our class will earn a free book for our classroom when a parent places an order online. Each month I send a flyer home with an attached reminder of our classroom code if you order online.
*Birthday snacks may be purchased through our school cafeteria. Food from home is not permitted. Treats that are not food may be sent in (i.e. pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.). If you would like your child to pass out birthday invitations, please include all students.
*Look for your child's graded tests in his/her homework folder. If indicated, please sign each test and return the tests the next day. This is a great way to inform you of your child's progress on a weekly basis. If you have any concerns, or would like to discuss your child's progress, please contact me.
