Hello there!  My name is Dana Barachie.  I am a second grade teacher at West Penn Elementary.  This is my eleventh year teaching within the Tamaqua Area School District. I am also a 2010 graduate from Tamaqua Area High School.  I completed my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education certified in Preschool to 4th Grade at Kutztown University. I also have my Master's Degree in Educational Development and Strategies through Wilkes University, as well as a second Master's Degree in Instructional Technology through Wilkes University. If you have never heard of me before, I am formally known as Miss Rottet! My husband, David, and I are expecting twin baby girls at the end of the summer. I love Disney, singing, playing volleyball, whales, my puppy (Brady), the color pink, traveling all around the world, iced caramel lattés, and going on adventures with my family and friends.

I am very excited to teach your child this year. I have received this wonderful opportunity to get the chance to spend this time with them. They will teach me so much about myself and the teacher I strive to become. I hope that I will make a difference in their lives in our journey together through second grade. Learning will be fun in Mrs. Barachie's classroom! I look forward to working with each and every one of you to help make your child's school year both successful and memorable!
