Mrs. Barachie's Behavior System!"Have courage and be kind. For where there is kindness, there is goodness.Where there is goodness, there is magic. "-- CinderellaRaider Rules:1. I will Respect people and property by using kind words and actions.2. I will keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself.3. I will complete my daily classwork and homework assignments on time.4. I will cooperate and participate without disruptions.5. I will do my best to follow directions the first time they are given.
These rules are read and reviewed in class so that the students understand the rules and why they are in place. All students will sign the rules which will be on display in the classroom.
In my classroom, I use a behavior color-coded clip chart. The color codes are:
Super Student: Pink
Great Job: Purple
Good Choices: Blue
Ready to Learn: Green
Think About It: Yellow
Teacher’s Choice: Orange
Parent Contact: Red
Each student starts off every day on the color green. This signifies that the student had a good day! Students are able to move up the color chart if they demonstrate positive behavior within the classroom. If students make poor choices throughout the day, they would move down on the color chart. But remember, students can work hard and move back up at any time!
At the end of the day, each student will mark their behavior chart with the color they were on. If a student was on either yellow, orange, or red a note will be written in the box to explain the behavior and reasoning. Please initial each box, so you can be involved in promoting positive behavior.
Of course, there are benefits to working hard and having good behavior in Mrs. Barachie's classroom! Students will earn points through our Class Dojo app. These points will result in earning prizes throughout the school year.
