Meet The Teacher

Mrs. Bittner
My name is Michele Bittner. I am a 1991 graduate of Tamaqua Area School District. I completed my Bachelor's Degree with honors at Kutztown University, where I studied Elementary Education. I hold a Master's Degree in both Special Education and Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.
I have been teaching for 26 years. I started my career at McAdoo Catholic School, teaching computer science for seven years. I moved for one year into the fourth-grade position there, as well. I have been teaching at West Penn Elementary for nineteen years. I was first hired as the Reading Reduction Teacher. I was then reassigned to the fifth-grade position. Today, I am teaching at Tamaqua Elementary as the Title I reading teacher for grades 2,3,4, and 5. I truly love teaching reading and am so happy to have the opportunity to teach at TE!
I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach the amazing students at Tamaqua Elementary. I believe that the Tamaqua Area School District has the best students in the world! I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know and teach all of the children.
