I have lived in West Penn Township most of my life, so this is home to me.  Upon graduating from Tamaqua Area High School in 199... uh hum...I attended LCCC for 2 years followed by the remainder of my course study in Psychology at East Stroudsburg University. Soon after graduating from ESU, I married my best friend, Tyler, and moved to the Lehighton area. After working as a TSS for four years, I realized that the classroom is where I belong.  I returned to ESU to attain my teaching certificate in 2000.  In July of that year, Tyler and I became parents to our first son, Theron.  Falling head over heels for this precious son of mine, we decided I would stay home to raise him.  I wasn't willing to stay away from the classroom completely, so I began subbing that fall for Tamaqua Area.  Well, as I said, West Penn is home to me and Lehighton, although nice, was not West Penn.  So in 2003, we moved back home.  Later that year, our second son, Trenton, was born.  Again, I felt the need to stay home and raise my two sons, so I continued subbing.  And subbing.  And subbing.  After ten years of subbing, it was finally time to teach full time.  I love it!  I completed Graduate School with a Masters Degree through Wilkes University.  Let the good times roll!  Anyway,  I am very excited to begin year number fifteen in first grade, and am honored to be teaching, learning, and growing alongside all of your first graders!
