**** A gentle reminder that our field trip is Tuesday, May 24.

Please have your child wear their fun day T-shirt we got from PTO.

Our last day of school is this Friday, May 27. It is hard to believe it is the end of Kindergarten. The children have learned so much in 9 months. I am so proud of them and their hard work. I will miss them. I always told the children we are all born with a good brain and a loving heart. They are the Best of the Best.

I am also letting you know I am retiring this year. I will miss everyone. It is time to help with my new granddaughter.

I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and support. It made my teaching job easy. You are a special group of parents. Have a marvelous summer!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is hard to believe that we are ending the 4th quarter and the end of our school year. The children have worked so hard and have learned and done many amazing things. We are so proud of them! During the next few weeks we will be giving the children assessments in Reading and Math. Please have your child review all letters, letter sounds and printing the letters. Also, practice memory words, sounding out words, spelling words, printing words and writing simple sentences. In Math please practice identifying and printing numbers 0 to 20, counting objects, greater than, less than and equal to, measurement, addition, subtraction, graphing and counting to 100 by 1’s and 10’s. Thank you for all your help and support this year.

Reading

It is important to practice all Word lists that have been sent home for each letter.

Our next word list is Ii. Please have your practice sounding out the words. Have your child practice printing the words and using them in sentences.

We will continue to work on Letter Bb this week . We will work on the letters Kk, Qq, Jj, Xx, Yy, Zz. Please have your child practice printing all letters.

Please have your child continue to practice the letters Cc , Oo, Gg, Dd, Aa, Ss, Ll , Ii, Tt, Ff, Ee, Hh, Uu, Bb, Rr, Nn, Mm, Pp, Vv, Ww, Kk, Qq, Jj, Xx, Yy, Zz

Have your child practice printing the letters, the sounds and words and memory words. Please have your child write simple sentences with the words and memory words.

Please keep practicing all word lists and blending word lists.
